Kristen has spent a lifetime studying spirituality and metaphysics. Her life has been one of unusual experiences, encounters and constant "coincidences" or synchronicities that have added to her studies. They have deepened her understanding of life at its core levels. She had a near-death experience as a child which instilled the sense of knowing that there are many more levels of existence than the physical one we see. So she began her lifelong quest as a child, reading any spiritual and metaphysical books she could find, starting in the mid '60s. In the mid '70s she studied the research and findings of the profound clairvoyant Rudolf Steiner. Her two-year formal studies of Steiner were greatly enhanced by having a professor, Werner Glas, who also had a profound level of clairvoyance.
So this is a little bit about Kristen's background. She is an artist and who also loves music. Just before her 16th birthday she was guided to go to a certain antique store that she had never been to before in a distant part of the midwestern town where she grew up. She scoured every shelf and table, but didn't find what "told her" it was for her. As she was leaving a man walked into the store with an antique zither harp that had been in his grandfather's attic. Playing it came very naturally. The first two tunes she played were Greensleeves and a tune that had come from a time in the distant past. She could "see" it being played in a group of people making their way to the Great Pyramid. More recently another string of coincidences led her to get onto the Blevins Harps site at just the right moment to find just the Celtic harp in the wood that she wanted. It was a Bouree 26 in a figured Walnut, which would normally have been too expensive, and which they never seemed to have available. Right at that time though a store had to cancel their order for that particular harp due to hard financial times. Another case of synchronicity! They put it on their site that day for a reduced rate since the store had to refuse it. Kristen also has two native American red cedar flutes from High Spirits Flutes and a wooden alto recorder flute.
